Bertolt Brecht was born in Germany in 1898 and died at the age of 58 in 1956 in the city of Berlin, East Germany. He is best known for his literary works, poetry, being a playwright, a theorist of epic theatre and the Brechtian acting method. For Brecht a play was completed outside the theater, in the reflections of the audience when the play is over.
